Coal-fired coffee roaster

DESCRIPTION:

The coal-fired coffee roaster is called “atturra café a carvanieddu” in the Sicilian dialect, and once it served to toast the coffee beans. The tool made of plate is provided with a little cooking stove where the coal is fired and on which there is a cylinder necessary to contain the toasted coffee beans. The cylinder was manually rotated through a lever with a wooden handle. On the longer sides of the cooking stove there are two handles with the form of a ring.
