“De arte venandi cum avibus” 1596

Description:

Inside the rich heritage of ancient books reported by the MUSeBArch there are 11 works dating to the 16th Century that include this volume of 1596 together with a valuable incunabulum called “Gregorian Cantorale”. This manual of hunting was written by the emperor Frederick the Second and it is the only ancient book of this typology that can be found in Sicily.

It was donated by the worthy fellow Antonio Mangia, the number one inside the hotel and touristic business of Sicily. In order to expose this precious work of the 16th Century to the public, a special room was prepared and dedicated to Frederick the Second.
