Museo Archeologico e delle Tradizioni di Sciara

Profile Description

Located between the streets of Toti and Burrone, the museum consists of three independent buildings, all with a direct access from the outside while there are three structures connected one to each other inside by glass-covered galleries. Functionally, the locals are divided into a general introductive room to the museum and to the archaeological excavations and in two rooms that contain the materials.

Outside the museum space is useful to house temporary summer exhibitions. The construction’s works were completed in April 2012 and now the Museum is waiting for the cataloguing of its artefacts linked to the tradition of the Sicilian agricultural world and for the transfer  of archaeological artefacts found in the archaelogical site of “Mura Pregne”.
