Museo della Manna di Pollina

The Museum is housed in the ancient and old town hall. It is situated at the second floor where there are three rooms hosting some descriptive panels of the history of the manna from different points of view: historical, mystical, economical and natural. There are some cases that contain some ancient tools used for the production of manna and still popular today.

The main room has a screen for the vision of the movies dedicated to this productive process. During the productive period of manna, it is possible to visit the “Demonstrative Field”, where it can be observed the carving technique (ntaccare) of the ash trees. An emotional path to explain what was called “the miracle of nature” from ancient times.
