The coin cabinet

Within the historical and archaeological section, consisting of some didactic panels that tell the hypothesis of the construction phases of the ancient castle and explain what it is today kept in the form of a noble palace, as a result of a series of expansions, restorations, renovations and alterations that have completely obliterated the original plan and the oldest components, so as the name “castle” seems not in accordance with this building;

the most painstaking manual work of other scholars who have rebuilt and reorganized the relics found in the castle, and then cleaned the old coins found therein, developed inside the manor in relation to the scientific work carried out by the archaeologist who was greatly linked to the excavations of the 90’s.

So the choice to organize the two windows of the most representative findings as well as to place a coin cabinet with a pantograph of enlargement. The coins belong to the Norman, Spanish and Aragonese periods.
