The uses of manna

Manna is primarily a natural sweetener and a mild laxative without any contraindications. It is particularly suitable in early childhood, the very old and debilitated people and people recovering from a disease; it is generally administered in milk. It regulates and refreshes the intestine, cleanses the digestive system from toxins and eliminates heaviness due to a poor diet; it is also a natural cosmetic. Manna has a beneficial action on the respiratory system: in fact it has a fluidizing and emollient action and is a cough suppressant. It is a natural sweetener with a low content of glucose and fructose. It can be used as a sweetener by diabetics. Manna is harmless and free from major side effects; this makes it particularly suitable in pediatrics.
