Handloom

DESCRIPTION:

It is called “tularu a manu” in the Sicilian dialect and once it was used to create the tissues. The elements that created it (the weft and the warp’s weave) were manoeuvred both manually or by feet independently one from each other. The Handloom was collocated in a domestic or craft space. To use this object it was important to have a certain ability with the working of the tissues and the typologies of weaves.
