Description:
The archaeological remains have been found in the ancient abbey of St. George. This comes as the archaeological field. The unique structures in elevation are those of the perimeter of the church, among other structures that do not reach entirely the upper edge of the original masonry. There are only some traces of the two lateral apses. The site where the abbey is located is of an outstanding scenic beauty, surrounded by forests and high rocky mountains which has a view on Campofelice di Roccella. The archaeological remains owned by the natural museum come from the excavation of the ’80s, and consist of the remains of capitals, columns and parts of the floor.
