Description:
The creation of this scarf is the result of an unusual combination of a high-tech material that is difficult to work using the filet technique, namely extruded polyamide yarn, and precious materials such as red coral, scaramazza pearls and gold thread. The inspiration for this scarf was the sea recalling the remote origins of the filet, which was developed from the technique used to make fishing nets. The effect, though innovative and extremely light, is linked to Isnello’s cultural past that, for centuries, boasted the splendid vestments with corals commissioned by the Santacolomba, the local aristocratic family, and still kept in the Church of the Santissimo Rosario.
