African oil-lamp

SHORT DESCRIPTION:

African oil-lamp pertinent to the ninth form of the Atlas which can be traced back to the end of the 4th Century and the beginning of the 5th Century AD. The disk is decorated with the Crìsmon, a Jesus Christ’s symbol. There are some burnt parts on the spout that testify the use of the object.
