Urban section

SHORT DESCRIPTION:

This historical and urban section consists of 20 information panels. Through a close reading of the documents, it was carried out a reconstruction of the urban fabric of Castelbuono, starting from its foundation until the full current composition. This section, by an easy and readable graphical representation of the projects is aimed at the understanding and then the ability to rebuild – in all its major temporal phases – the development of the urban fabric of Castelbuono, and more specifically, of the architectural that were made inside
a wider context.

From an operational point of view it was decided to proceed with in-depth studies concerning different historical periods analyzed. Each panel contains a historical-urban phase considered worthy of further investigation. From a content point of view, the educational papers relating to the planimetric representation of the given historical period also including the architectural artefacts present at that time; and also a three-dimensional representation of the orography of the territory of Castelbuono, accompanied by some synthetic explanatory texts.
