DESCRIPTION:
It is a domestic tool called “tannuriedda” in the Sicilian dialect that served to heat up the food or something else. The cooker consists of a cylindrical base containing the coals with two holes in the anterior part. On such cylindrical base there is a baked clay pan or vase covered by a light iron scaffolding, provided with a little iron handle. The cooker was used in the domestic space but also in the open spaces, for example in the countryside.
