The object is an ancient gramophone used in the domestic ambiance to reproduce the musical disks. The body is made of wood, with support for the disk and a crank to activate its movement. The reproduction happens after having put the little arm on the disk’s rim. The gramophone spreads the sound through an external metal trumpet. Once, those who owned a gramophone was in the condition to “tieniri ‘u suonu” at home, that is to organize some dances in occasion of particular familiar recurrences or during the Carnival’s evenings.
