The paleontological collection is one of the most interesting of the museum. It includes about 80 samples of madreporic limestones of the
Madonie, 20 samples of Fucoid Marls, some finds of vertebrate fossils related to the Elephas sp. and the Hippopotamus sp., about 500 fossils of corals, some gastropods such as the Cassidaria minae, the Cassidaria virgae and marine bivalves.
Gathered around all the area, the finds of Minà provided a complete documentation at the time of the paleontological heritage of the Madonie and for this reason they were studied by eminent personalities like Seguenza, De Gregorio and others.
In a central case there are some nomenclatural types of some entities of the Madonie described by A. De Gregorio. Of particular interest is the collection relating to the fauna of the Cenomanian Calton with several specimens of Ostrea, Exogira and Lopha.
