SHORT DESCRIPTION:
The entomological collection is the biggest collected by Minà Palumbo. It consists of approximately 3500 units divided in 78 boxes (arising from the meeting of the 140 original samples, following the restoration carried out in the ’90s on behalf of the Regional Commission for Sicilian Culture and Identity. The collection includes different types such as the “Cetonida” and the “Osmoderma Cristina” or the “Cerambicidae Aromia moscata”. Recently, the Entomological collection “Michele Bellavista” has been acquired. It consists of a set of 35 boxes in which are gathered about 2500 Sicilian samples, mainly beetles mostly collected on the Madonie.
