Civic Museum of Castelbuono

The Civic Museum of Castelbuono is the Cultural Institution to which the municipality entrusts the preservation and the promotion of the monumental, historical, artistic, litterary and ethno-anthropological heritage that has its centre inside the municipal castle, but it has the role to create an integrated and urban museum system inside the regional and national museum network.

Heir of the Civic Centre Municipal Castle, after the establishment of the Natural Museum Francesco Minà Palumbo, the Civic Museum of Castelbuono, whose Board of Directors took office on 30 November 2002, had as its primary objective to initiate a process of museum fruition of the property that is the symbol of our country and that for its features and functions is the heart of our history, citizenship, culture and religion.
